Description
There are many variations of predictor games. Now a new variety comes from the USA, the “Streak Predictor” or “Pick’em” game.
From a list of available assertions (like “Manchester wins with one goal difference”) the user picks a single one and tries to predict the outcome. The game has been deliberately kept simple in this respect; there are always only two possible options. If the prediction is correct, the users “streak” increases by 1. Otherwise it falls back to 0. This mechanic adds a lot of challenge and tension to the game.
Users can choose their personal risk according to the length of their present streak: Have a long streak? Maybe only make a few safe predictions; Just starting by zero? Maybe try insecure predictions with a shorter deadline to come up to speed.
