European Football Game Stock exchange about the 2006 World Cup

The Eurosport World Cup Game is a stock exchange game covering the World Cup 2006.
Players trade shares of all participating nations. The value of the share is determined by supply and demand and editorial judgement during the project. The assessment of the shares is dependent on the shares‘ success at the World Cup.

Teams who drop out are bought back by the game management during the tournament. The players can therefore directly re-invest their virtual money into new teams. The share prices accurately mirror the expectations of the players during the tournament. In special cases selected friendly games are taken into the evaluation during the time before the World Cup. By entering codes from the Eurosport TV show or by answering to daily quiz questions, additional game money can be won.
